Who we are
Topshow is an Australian hat manufacturer specialising in quality hand made hats for both ladies and men. Best recognised as the maker of the original ‘Noosa hat’, Topshow is renowned for making high quality Australian hats that look good and protect you from the sun. All of Topshow hats are hand-made in the Sunshine Coast and come in a variety of different styles, colours and sizes to suit all.
Aside from just selling online, Topshow hats are sold locally at the Eumundi Market (Sunshine Coast) every Wednesday and Saturday. Topshow also sells at various markets throughout the calendar year. For information on upcoming events, check out our blog page or social media.
History
Topshow’s humble beginnings started in Noosa, the Sunshine Coast. Having recently moved to Noosa with her three children in tow, Mary joined her mother and sister in the making of straw hats to sell at the Eumundi Market. With her early success and recognition of a lack of quality Australian made hats at the market, Mary began to see the opportunity of expanding the nascent and leisurely enterprise into something more serious. Topshow was suddenly born.
There has always been the three of us - Mary, Virgil and Glenda. We began to develop and make hats designed with both quality and style in mind. Their attention to detail, quality workmanship and hard work led to a growing reputation amongst hat enthusiasts in the local area. Topshow suddenly became known for making high quality, hand-made Australian hats in Noosa, which eventually led to the name of its most original and iconic hat: the Noosa Hat.
